Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music artist and singer. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe named Pistol Annies, with Angaleena presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, and then released her 2nd album, titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for over 15 years. She was the majority of that time as a deputy city manager for Iowa City. In her role as Assistant Village Director, she is responsible for The Community Development and Building Department. The department is responsible for coordinating grant applications and finishing special projects. Ashley works to support the village's daily services, and also works with local elected officials. Her previous roles included municipal planning government communications budgeting staff management, collective bargaining as well as focusing on climate-related initiatives. Ashley has gained invaluable insight through working with national organisations as well as her involvement in diverse communities. Ashley's course focuses on leadership, management and public administration as seen from the perspective from a practitioner in the field. In addition to establishing the context for present and future professionals Ashley focuses on the necessity of adapting today's decisions based on ethics and strategic thinking for addressing issues and capitalize on opportunities.
